TruConnect Introduces ‘Freemium’ Mobile Hotspot Device with Free Forever Data

By The Associated Press | December 29, 2015

TruConnect, one of the nation’s fastest growing providers of no-contract wireless voice, text, and data services, announces their first “freemium” offer that includes up to 1 GB of Forever Data with the purchase of a pre-paid monthly data plan and Unimax or D-Link mobile hotspot device. Forever Data is the industry’s first data solution to provide mobile data service without an expiration date as long as the customer remains active within the most recent 60 days. This freemium offer is available for a limited time, and consumers get to enjoy up to 1 GB of free Forever Data. If the customer exhausts the data and doesn’t want to pay further, they can simply cancel their service.

“This deal is one of the many upcoming promotions we have planned. The idea is for our customers to get a taste of how Forever DataSM works without locking themselves into a long-term plan,” said Darren Levy, VP of E-Commerce. “We’re going to deliver more deals and plans for accessible Wi-Fi that will best suit our customers’ usage needs,” Levy adds.

Running on a 4G LTE wireless network, the Unimax mobile hotspot is a sleek, pocket-sized device perfect for work, travel and everyday use, starting at the retail price of $59. The D-Link mobile hotspot, starting at the retail price of $39, is a slim, go-anywhere design that can provide up to 8 connections to various Wi-Fi devices such as smart phones, laptops, tablets, and PCs. 1 GB of data allows consumers to send up to 20,000 emails, view up to 5,000 web pages, post 10,000 social media updates, or listen to up to 30 hours of music.
