It may not have the buzz of an iPhone, but Turtle Wireless’ device indeed will turn heads. The TW801 handset, or perhaps better stated — wrist-set, is a tri-band GSM phone designed to be worn like a wristwatch.
The device comes with a camera, Bluetooth, MP3/MP4 capabilities, touchscreen and WAP/GPRS compatibility. The TW801 offers 3 hours of talk-time and 160 hours of standby. The device also offers 512 MB of internal memory, with an option to expand the Trans Flash memory up to 2 GB, multilingual support for English, Spanish, Portuguese French and Chinese.
Included with the device is a stereo Bluetooth headset, extra battery, car and home chargers, data cable and a 1-year warranty.
Since it’s unlocked, it will work with any GSM carrier network. It is expected to be available to the North American market starting June 16 and retails for less than $249.
