Regional carrier U.S. Cellular today launched the HTC Flyer Android tablet. The Flyer will retail for $399.99 after mail-in rebate with purchase of U.S. Cellular’s 5 GB data plan for $54.99, and $599.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with the 200 MB data plan for $14.99.
The Flyer, which comes running Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) is driven by a 1.5 GHz Snapdragon and comes equipped with 32 GB of internal memory and dual cameras (5-megapixel in the rear and 1.3-megapixel in the front).
Customers can also download the U.S. Cellular Family Organizer, a free app for the tablet that helps families stay connected with one another’s appointments, shopping lists, work schedules and family photos. U.S. Cellular also offers the Amazon storefront app, exclusive for U.S. Cellular customers, to shop Amazon.com and all of its various digital content storefronts.
U.S. Cellular also notes that it hosts free in-store Device Workshops, where users can get tips and pointers for their Android-powered, Windows Phone 7 and BlackBerry devices.
