T-Mobile today released details about its plans for Apple’s new iPads. The uncarrier said it will offer up the iPad Air and iPad mini with no money down, and will throw in a monthly stipend of LTE data (200MB) for free.
Beginning November 1, T-Mobile will offer iPad Air and iPad mini (iPad mini with retina display with Wi-Fi + Cellular will arrive later in November).
Those T-Mobile customers that choose the 16 GB iPad Air will be in for 24 months of payments at $26.25. The iPad mini with retina display will start at an introductory price of $0 down with 24 equal monthly payments of $22.08 for the 16 GB model. The regular iPad mini will start at an introductory price of $0 down with 24 equal monthly payments of $17.91 for the 16 GB model.
T-Mobile said it will also offer a program enabling customers to make their new iPad even more affordable by applying the trade-in value of an eligible tablet, even if that old tablet is Wi-Fi only.
T-Mobile said it will also offer daily, weekly and monthly options to purchase additional data. For T-Mobile voice customers, ‘always-on’ iPad plans start at $10 a month for unlimited data, including 500 MB of LTE data each month. Customers can add even more LTE data in 2 GB increments for just $10 more per month.
The carrier will also offers daily and weekly passes. Daily passes include unlimited data with 500 MB of 4G LTE data starting at $5. The weekly passes include unlimited data with 1 GB of LTE data for $10.
Those plans come as AT&T recently rolled out a $5 daily data pass for tablet users.
Additionally, T-Mobile will offer the 32 GB model of the iPad Air at an introductory price of $99.99 down and $199.99 down for the 64 GB model, each with equal monthly payments of $26.25. The 32 GB iPad mini with retina display will be available at an introductory price of $99.99 down and $199.99 down for the 64 GB model, each with equal monthly payments of $22.08.
