Unicoi Systems (Unicoi) has announced that their Fusion Video Engine is being used by Ericsson-LG in their next generation IPECS videophones. The Fusion Video Engine is designed to be the highest quality low-latency video solution on the market, enabling business class low latencies on Android based products.
As an extension to the Fusion Voice Engine, the Fusion Video Engine uses the same fully standards-based RTP protocol implementation. The Fusion Video Engine provides seamless synchronization of video with the Audio Processing System even across RTP connections. Fusion Video Engine features include support for hardware extensions (cameras, hardware codecs, rendering, etc.), lip-sync integration with the Fusion Voice Engine, JPEG support, and dynamic bitrate configuration and control. The Fusion Video Engine also supports multiple active conversations, where the active conversation can be brought to the foreground and others moved to the background. As with the Voice Engine, secure RTP (SRTP) is an available Video Engine option.
Greg Coonley, CEO and founder of Unicoi Systems, said, “We are extremely proud of our relationship with Ericsson-LG. The product that Ericsson-LG has delivered using the Fusion Video Engine is unsurpassed in the Unified Communications industry.”
The Fusion Video Engine, coupled with the Fusion Voice Engine, offers a complete voice & video solution for virtually any platform and is designed to be easily embedded into new or existing applications. The Fusion Video Engine provides support for a wide range of applications such as Video Phones, Video Callboxes, Softphone Apps with Video Support, and more.
