Dell today announced an official launch of its first Windows Phone 7 device, the Dell Venue. Previously Dell had released a small number of devices to Microsoft stores, but supplies were limited.
The new smartphone, which features the latest iteration of Microsoft’s mobile OS, launches with T-Mobile for $99 (8GB) or $149 (16GB) with a 2-year contract agreement. Users can also purchase the device without a contract for $449 (8GB) or $499 (16GB).
The Venue is a vertical slider that features a full qwerty keyboard and 4.1-inch screen. Additionally, the Venue comes packing a 1GHz processor, 5 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, Microsoft’s Mobile Office and Xbox Live.
Consumers can order the phone online now at Dell’s website. The company says the phone will ship December 9.
