Verizon now owns 100 percent of Mohave Wireless, having completed its purchase of the regional wireless provider from Frontier Communications and Rio Virgin Telephone.
Verizon announced in a statement that it plans to integrate Mohave’s EV-DO 3G network, covering approximately 203,000 customers, and deploy LTE on the spectrum in the future.
Verizon said that it will continue to serve existing customers under the Mohave Wireless name until the integration is complete in 2014, at which time it will alert Mohave customers that they are being switched over to Verizon.
Mohave has added a “VZW FAQs” section to its website to explain details of the switch for its customers.
Verizon did not disclose the financial terms of the deal.
