Verizon Wireless and HTC today announced pricing and availability for the HTC Incredible 2, a new Android smartphone and successor to the original Droid Incredible.
According to a press release, the Incredible 2 will be available beginning April 28 in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and online for $199.99 with a new two-year customer agreement.
The HTC Droid Incredible 2 comes running Android 2.2 (Froyo) and sports a 4-inch super LCD display, 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 3G mobile hotspot technology and support for Adobe Flash.
HTC is calling the Droid Incredible a “global-ready Android smartphone,” which allows customers to use voice and data service in more than 200 countries.
The original HTC Incredible was plagued by poor battery life. The original Incredible came with a 1300 mAh battery, whereas the Incredible 2 comes with a considerably larger 1450 mAh battery.
