Verizon, Cricket Add to Holiday Deals with Half-Off Cyber Monday Promos

By Diana Goovaerts | November 30, 2015

On the heels of competitive Black Friday offers across the wireless industry, Cricket Wireless announced it will offer new and existing customers half off the cost of a Samsung Galaxy S4, S5 or S6 with activation on a smartphone plan.

Cricket said the new promotion can be combined with the prepaid carrier’s Black Friday offer to get a $100 Cricket Shopping card when they switch service providers.

With the half-off offer, Cricket customers can get the S4 for $99.99, the S5 for $199.99 and the S6 for $249.99. Other device price reductions are available with a mail-in rebate.

The half-off offer is good through December 3 while supplies last.

But Cricket isn’t the only one offering Cyber Monday deals.

Verizon is also offering a half off deal on the Droid Turbo with activation. The device will be offered for $240. The carrier is also offering a number of devices at reduced prices for the occasion, including $250 off the Apple iPad Pro, Air and mini with a two-year contract.

T-Mobile said it is offering free memory upgrades on the new iPhone 6s or 6s Plus for Cyber Monday, bumping the purchase of a 16GB version of the device to the 64GB model and the purchase of the 64GB version to 128 GB model.

AT&T’s deal to get the Samsung Gear S smartwatch for $0.99 with a two-year agreement also extends through Monday.

Sprint is also offering a number of Cyber Monday deals, including more than 30 devices (the iPhone 6s and Samsung Galaxy S6 among them) for $0 down with a 24-month installment plan. The highest monthly installment price appears to be $30 for the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+.

Alternatively, Sprint customers can get devices at reduced rates with a two-year agreement, including the Galaxy S6 for $149.99 and the iPhone 6s for $199.99.

Sprint said its offer of 50 percent off plans for customers who switch from Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile will also continue through January 7, 2016.
