Verizon Wireless and LG Mobile Phones today announced availability of the LG Ally, a mid-range Android smartphone. According to a press release, the Ally will be available at Verizon stores beginning May 20.
The Ally is the first Android device from LG. Verizon Wireless customers can pre-order the phone online beginning May 13.
The Ally features a 3.2-inch tempered glass touch screen, full slide-out qwerty keyboard with simultaneous touch screen capabilities, microSD slot for up to 16 GB of memory, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 3.2-megapixel camera with video capabilities and flash.
Additionally, the Ally’s UI features five customizable home screens with shortcuts to text messages, e-mail, apps and favorite contacts.
The LG Ally will run $99.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.
