More exclusive entertainment news from Verizon Wireless: The carrier announced today that it is delivering music video content created exclusively for it by Pearl Jam front man Eddie Vedder. Starting today, V CAST subscribers can enjoy the exclusive mobile version of the video to Vedder’s “Guaranteed,” his first music video as a solo artist from the film Into the Wild.
According to Verizon, the unique version of the video weaves silhouettes of Vedder’s “intimate, soulful performance” with images of his own handwritten lyrics in “a simple yet powerful way.”
Fans also will be able to download, over the coming weeks, three free Eddie Vedder songs from the film, including: “Guaranteed,” “Rise” and “Hard Sun.” Users can purchase the tracks as ringtones and ringback tones.
“It’s always interesting for us to explore new ways to get music to music fans. Much like the Internet, the advent of mobile technology has created another medium through which artists can get music directly to fans in an innovative and authentic way,” Kelly Curtis, Pearl Jam’s manager, said in a statement.
