Verizon Wireless has announced a truckload of new content available on its V CAST multimedia network, starting with the availability of content from the Sundance Channel. Verizon Wireless and Sundance have partnered to bring Verizon customers Sundance’s short-form programming, including video clips from prior Sundance Film Festivals, animated and live action short films, Sundance Channel original programming and daily Festival Update videos, which will be available Jan. 17-27, during the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. Throughout the year, Verizon customers also will have access to Sundance Channel’s film and documentary clips and short film projects developed for the small screen.
Also announced today: Ford Models Beauty Secrets, a dedicated V CAST channel where customers can access expert beauty advice, commentary, tips and instruction from Ford Models; the TOKYOPOP video channel, featuring manga movies, anime clips and Asian-influenced entertainment including the animated series’ Rave Master and PiNMeN; GoTV’s Hip Hop Official, a dedicated hip hop channel with music news, reviews, interviews with hip hop artists and info on the latest in fashion, gadgets, games and movies; and finally Fox’s Soccer Channel will be available on V Cast including video highlights from England’s Barclays Premier League.
Customers with V CAST-enabled phones can check out V CAST content for $3 for a 24-hour pass or $15 a month. V CAST VPak monthly subscriptions also include access to Verizon Wireless’ ESPN MVP, Get It Now and Mobile Web 2.0 services.
