Verizon Wireless today announced the new BlackBerry Bold 9930 smartphone is available online and will be available in Verizon Wireless Stores on Aug. 25 for $250 with a two-year contract.
The BlackBerry Bold 9930 smartphone, which comes running BlackBerry 7, is the thinnest BlackBerry smartphone yet, measuring 10.5 mm.
Additional features include a 2.8-inch touchscreen, full backlit qwerty keyboard with trackpad navigation, 1.2 GHz processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5-megapixel camera with flash and 720p HD video recording capabilities and microSD card slot with support for cards up to 32 GB; push-to-talk capability will be enabled through an update.
The 9930 is part of Research In Motion’s (RIM) latest line of BlackBerry 7 devices announced on Aug. 3. The new lineup includes two new BlackBerry Bold devices and two new BlackBerry Torch smartphones.
