Verizon Wireless is finally getting its hands on a 3G BlackBerry Curve. Starting Thursday, the BlackBerry Curve 3G will hit business sales channels, with the device hitting Verizon’s website and retail stores in the coming weeks.
The Research In Motion device comes in charcoal and red and has standard BlackBerry features, including a 35-key, backlit qwerty keyboard and 512MB of flash memory.
The device is based on BlackBerry 5 and will be compatible with BlackBerry 6 when it is released later this year.
Verizon is selling the Curve 3G for $29.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement and qualifying service plan.
The new device will be Verizon’s first BlackBerry Curve to be compatible with its 3G network. The carrier’s other 3G BlackBerry devices include the Storm2, Bold and Tour.
