Anritsu Company and ETS-Lindgren announce groundbreaking support of IEEE 802.11 ac/n/a/g/b Over-the-Air (OTA) testing with an enhanced solution that integrates the Anritsu Wireless Connectivity Test Set MT8862A with the CTIA-compliant ETS-Lindgren EMQuest™ EMQ-100 Antenna Measurement Software. The accurate and flexible turnkey solution now supports 802.11 ac/n/a/g/b WLAN standards, providing device developers and manufacturers with a single solution to characterize and validate designs in accordance with current and emerging versions of the 802.11 standards.
The MT8862A is the first solution for testing 802.11 in ac/n/a/g/b devices in full signaling mode with built-in communications protocols. The MT8862A can conduct fast and accurate RF receiver and transmitter measurements for WLAN without the need of any device control. It can also perform end-to-end data throughput tests, as well as capture real-time protocol messages.
The MT8862A and EMQuest EMQ-100 provide a comprehensive solution that can test devices based on revisions of IEEE 802.11 technologies. Specialized calibration and validation methods are supported for WLAN OTA testing and other analysis, including TRP/TIS.
The Wireless Connectivity Test Set MT8862A is a multi-version IEEE 802.11 instrument with the capability for wireless device calibration, WLAN RF parametric testing and functional testing, including Network Mode. IEEE 802.11ac/n/a/b/g revisions are all supported for testing the transmitter and receiver performance of a multi-revision WLAN device.
ETS-Lindgren’s EMQuest EMQ-100 offers a wide range of fully parameterized test methods for measuring basic antenna performance metrics, as well as testing both radiated and conducted performance of various wireless devices. Flexible in its design, the EMQuest EMQ-100 can be used to analyze antennas in stand-alone applications, or to test an embedded antenna system and radio module against any of the industry standard OTA radiated performance test requirements.
