TeleNav is expanding globally, including south of the border. The GPS navigation service provider is now providing TeleNav GPS Navigator for Telcel in Mexico.
Telcel customers in select cities can now get turn-by-turn, GPS-enabled driving directions directly from their BlackBerry 8800 and BlackBerry Curve 8310 smartphones.
In a press release, TeleNav President, CEO and co-founder HP Jin said that with the launch of Telcel, TeleNav continues to build upon its vision of bringing GPS mobile phone navigation to customers around the globe. Besides North America, Canada and Latin American, TeleNav is active in 20 European countries and China, a TeleNav spokeswoman said.
Telcel customers can use TeleNav GPS Navigator in any vehicle or while walking, and voice directions are available in Spanish or English.
