America Semiconductor Inks Authorized Distribution Agreement with America II

By Staff Author | September 13, 2013

Broad offering of innovative high-power semiconductors and discrete semiconductor products available world-wide.

Union, NJ – America Semiconductor has announced an authorized distribution agreement with America II Electronics.

According to Jeffrey Simon, chief executive manager of America Semiconductor, “Naming America II to our roster of authorized distributors is a critical step in America Semiconductor’s strategic initiative to broaden both international and domestic distribution channels. Their impressive record of achievement in uncovering opportunities for semiconductor sales made them a logical choice. We are proud to partner with America II as they not only understand our products and target industries, but also share our commitment to quality, service, and assisting OEMs’ accelerate time-to-market. “

Under the terms of the agreement, America II will stock and distribute America Semiconductor’s extensive offering of high-power standard, fast and super-fast recovery rectifiers, bridge rectifiers, and low-power semiconductors throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia, with an emphasis on US markets. Additionally covered in the agreement are America Semiconductor’s innovative portfolio of discrete semiconductor parts, which features diacs, IGBT modules, SCRs, Triacs, TVS and Zener diodes.  America II will focus on providing local customer service and engineering support to OEMs in such industries as alternative energy, oil drilling, power grid, welding, HVAC, and transportation. They will moreover target new market sectors.

“We’re extremely pleased to add America Semiconductor’s quality semiconductor products to our line card of best-in-class suppliers,” states Brian Ellison, president of America II Electronics, “Their high-power semiconductors and discrete semiconductor components are a natural complement to our existing semiconductor inventory. This agreement further strengthens our ability to offer one-stop shopping for quality semiconductor solutions, and gives customers quick access to America Semiconductor’s parts at highly competitive price points.”
