Apple’s new 12.9-inch iPad Pro will be available for online orders starting Wednesday, Nov. 11 and will arrive in retail locations later this week, the tech giant announced Monday. The device’s new companion pieces, the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard will also be available for order on Wednesday, Apple said.
“The early response to iPad Pro from app developers and our customers has been incredible, and we’re excited to get iPad Pro into the hands of customers around the world this week,” Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing Philip Schiller said. “iPad Pro is the most powerful iPad we’ve ever made, giving users the ability to be even more creative and more productive… We can’t wait to see what they do with iPad Pro.”
The new iPad Pro was first announced during Apple’s launch event in September and has generated buzz for its extra-large screen, split-screen multi-tasking, upgraded A9X chip and four-speaker audio system.
The 32 GB, Wi-Fi model of the device will be available for $799, while the 128 GB, Wi-Fi plus cellular model will run $1079. The Apple Pencil will cost $99 and the Smart Keyboard will be available for $169.
