BlackBerry Offering Up to $550 for iPhone Trade-Ins

By Ben Munson | November 25, 2014

Correction: A previous version of this article mistakenly said BlackBerry was offering the Passport for $100. BlackBerry is offering the Passport for $100 off the cost.

Beginning in December, BlackBerry will start offering up to $550 to customers who trade in their iPhones for a BlackBerry Passport.

Depending on the model and condition of the iPhone, trade-ins can be worth up to $400 and then BlackBerry is offering an additional $150.

The deal runs from Dec. 1 to Feb. 13, 2015 and is available for the iPhones 4S, 5, 5C, 5S and 6.

For customers without an iPhone to trade-in, BlackBerry for a limited time is offering the knocking $100 off the cost of a black Passport as of Nov. 22. The company just announced that the Passport will also be available in red and white.

For the struggling BlackBerry, the Passport has been a much-needed success. The initial production run of the device sold out and an International Business Times report says the Passport is leading the pack in early Black Friday sales for unlocked phones on Amazon.
