With a growing demand from mobile device customers for exceptional quality, world-class service and unmatched network reliability, operators and their support community are pushing hard for edgy new quality of service technologies.
Collecting vital customer data and testing a network’s quality instantaneously are two key drivers in reducing churn and improving service. And companies such as Comarco Wireless Test Solutions are getting the message.
“Competitive benchmarking is vital, and network performance is crucial in reducing churn. This year we’re seeing big changes from deployment to more customer retention and less churn. But there must be a commitment to QoS,” said Mark Chapman, senior vice president and general manager for Comarco.
Comarco’s addition of a scanning receiver to its QuOTA Keeper allows extension of QoS testing to where the customers are, Chapman said, and can be used in unmanned locations.
“Anywhere a customer goes, network information is sent back to a centralized location, and granular data is also captured on how the network is working. It can also do data testing like file transfers, downloads, audio, diagnostics and more,” he added.
QuOTA, Chapman noted, can run on Symbian or Microsoft Mobile platforms and can test the network and data of every operator in any area.
