Broadcom Corporation today announced it has completed its acquisition of LTE-related assets from affiliates of Renesas Electronics Corporation for approximately $164 million.
A Government-wide lapse in funding occurred on October 1, 2013, and the FCC‘s informal 180-day time clock for review of transactions will be suspended. The individual time clock for each pending transaction will be stopped on the day of review that coincides with the last business day before the lapse in funding which is September 30, 2013. The informal time clocks will be restarted on the business day following the day of return to normal operations.
Radio Frequency Systems (RFS) has announced that its products will be used by Transit Wireless to support the architecture for Phase 2 of its extensive project to bring a distributed antenna system (DAS) to the New York City subway system. Phase 2, which is expected to be completed in mid-2014, includes 40 new stations, including Grand Central Station, 34th St. Herald Square and Bryant Park in mid-town Manhattan and stations throughout the Borough of Queens.
Fandango today announced that it will provide movie show times, ticketing, movie trailers and original movie preview show “Weekend Ticket” for the new Samsung GALAXY devices. Fandango’s movie ticketing features will be integrated into the soon-to-be-released Samsung GALAXY Note 3, as part of the “Here & Now” service.
