Google on Tuesday announced that users can now make purchases using Android Pay from within apps.
In a post on the company’s official Android Blog, Google announced availability of the feature from within a limited number of apps.
The company said that over the next few months, users would start seeing more and more apps adding Android Pay. For a limited time, users will get special savings by using Android Pay in select apps, including offers like $20 off on OpenTable dining and $10 off a Lyft ride.
Developers looking to add the functionality to their apps can visit the Android Pay API developer site to learn how to accept Android Pay for the purchase of physical goods and services.
Google also said that in the first half of 2016, Android Pay will arrive in Australia.
