Nokia today announced three new Internet-ready mobile phones for emerging markets.
The Nokia 2730 classic, Nokia 2720 fold and Nokia 7020 work with services such as Nokia Life Tools and Ovi Mail. Nokia says the devices and solutions can be the gateway to knowledge, entertainment and people without the need for a PC. Nokia cites research showing nearly half of emerging market customers say they would rather connect to the Internet over a mobile phone than a PC.
The Nokia 2730 classic is Nokia’s most affordable 3G phone, priced at $107 (U.S.) The Nokia 2720 fold carries an estimated retail price of $74, while the 7020 is priced at about $121.
