Numerous cell phone blogs reported that Palm recently leaked the details of its next high-end smartphone, the Treo 750, on its own Web site. The pages are no longer active.
Also known as the Treo Pro, the device has a more modern design than current Treo models and its significantly thinner, sites such as Engadget reported. Wi-Fi and a micro-USB connector are said to be among its new features.
Palm’s received a healthy dose of customer and analyst criticism in the past few years for not being innovate enough in its smartphone designs. The mass-market Centro phone is selling well, but Treo customers have not had much to cheer for.
Palm next year is scheduled to release a Linux version of its traditional PalmOS phones.
