Intuit announced that its popular QuickBooks software is now available for the Apple iPhone and for Research In Motion’s BlackBerry devices.
Customers can perform common tasks such as checking account balances, tracking funds owed and paid, finding contacts’ locations using Google Maps and performing account reports, the company said.
Intuit’s online software has a reputation for being simple — company founder Scott Cook often jokes that it’s for anyone who thinks General Ledger is a war hero. Now, the company hopes customers find its mobile software equally simple, officials said.
QuickBooks Online for the iPhone and BlackBerry starts at $9.95 per month.
