Apple is planning to release a smaller version of its iPhone 6 in early 2016, according to a new AppleInsider report.
Citing KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, AppleInsider said the new phone – unsurprisingly dubbed the iPhone 6c – will be a 4-inch device running on an A9 processor. The 6c is also expected to come equipped with Apple’s Pay’s NFC technology and cost between $400 and $500, the report said.
Kuo also expects the device will include Apple’s slightly curved “2.5D” cover glass and come in two or three different casing colors. The device is not expected to include iPhone 6s’ force touch technology.
According to the report, the device is expected to ship in an early 2016 timeframe, possibly in March or April.
