Samsung Monday sent out invitations for a June 20 event in London where the company plans to let loose news on its Galaxy and Ativ brands.
The Wall Street Journal’s All Things Digital said the event will likely be a forum for new devices. Samsung sells its Windows phone under the Ativ brand and, of course, releases its blockbusting Android devices under the Galaxy name.
With the Galaxy S4 already selling like hotcakes, the next logical announcement for the Galaxy line would be the rumored follow-up to the Galaxy Note 2. ET News seemingly confirmed that Samsung was at work on the device, citing industry insiders about the company’s plans for the Galaxy Note follow-up’s 13 megapixel camera.
Last year, Samsung announced it had sold five million Note 2s in two months, confirming global demand for phablets and all but ensuring a sequel.
