Sony Ericsson today unveiled the Sony Ericsson Equinox phone at T-Mobile USA.
According to a press release, the new 3G phone will be available exclusively at select T-Mobile retail stores and online at www.t-mobile.com beginning Oct. 28 with a two-year contract. No pricing information was available.
The Equinox features a 3.2-megapixel camera with video capture, FM radio and stereo Bluetooth, as well as a gesture control that lets users reject incoming calls or silence an alarm with the wave of a hand.
The recession has hit Sony Ericsson hard. The company posted a $244 million loss last quarter. However, recent statements from the company’s co-president, Bert Nordberg, indicate a return to profitability in 2010.
