New Jersey chapter chair aims to grow membership, advance profession
MILLSTONE TWP., N.J., July 26, 2013 – Stacie Curtis, president and founder of CW Solutions, a national real estate services firm specializing in the utilities and wireless telecommunications industries, has been appointed as membership chair of the New Jersey Chapter of the International Right of Way Association (IRWA) Chapter 15. Curtis co-founded CW Solutions with Robert Weible in 2002.
As IRWA Membership Chair, her responsibilities include attracting new members while maintaining existing ones. The organization’s members are involved in professions ranging from right-of-way professionals, surveyors, title agents and appraisers to attorneys and engineers. Members participate in the acquisition, valuation and management of rights of way.
“Our state’s infrastructure needs will continue to evolve, and my goal is to grow and advance the principles of ethical right-of-way processes,” said Curtis. “Our members are experts who share their time, talents and energy to help improve the right-of-way profession.”
Curtis combines 20 years of real estate experience, focusing on utility, wireless and telecommunications projects. Her firm offers site acquisition, leasing, right-of-way, and title and permitting services. Curtis’ accomplishments include founding the New Jersey Wireless Association (NJWA) and working with the Wireless Infrastructure Association (PCIA) and NJWA to write, develop, and push through New Jersey Senate Bill No. 2989, which exempts certain collocations of wireless equipment from site plan approval. As a result, the legislation has made it easier for her wireless clients to construct, modify and install their network.
With more than 10,000 members, the not-for-profit IRWA organization is considered the central authority for right-of-way education and certification programs, as well as professional services, worldwide. Since its inception as a not-for-profit association in 1934, IRWA has united the efforts of its members toward professional development, improved service to employers and the public, and advancements within the right-of-way profession.
