Telespree Communications’ customer self-service system now supports Qualcomm’s BREW development tools, according to company officials.
The Telespree application suite lets carriers give their end users the ability to activate new devices, download updates and conduct account management. By adding BREW support, available now, carriers can now use Telespree with a wide variety of CDMA phones, officials explained.
The software also can monitor device and user interactions in real-time and can report selected events back to carriers. It currently supports more than 3 million devices globally on networks such as Sprint Nextel and Virgin Mobile.
Telespree’s future involves an advertising application. Details are not yet available, but Telespree can collect customer data upon device activation and later use that data to tailor advertising messages.
