Authorized Verizon Wireless agents may now use co-op advertising dollars to activate toll-free vanity 800 numbers with real-time advertising tracking data, according to companies involved with the program.
Thanks to a partnership between 800response, TracPoint Wireless and authorized Verizon Wireless agents, the agents can get the vanity 800 numbers from 800response and benefit from TracPoint’s marketing programs.
“With competition in the wireless industry at an all time high, it is critical that wireless retailers track and measure their advertising response rates to get the most out of their budgets,” said TracPoint President Brad MacArthur, via a press release. The 800response Web-based reporting tools help validate which ads work and which ones don’t, allowing businesses to cut and spend as a result of actual response rates, he added.
Costs for vanity numbers vary based on geography and population, according to an 800response spokeswoman. Many agents do direct response campaigns with new promotions and offers, and they generally see a 30% to 50% increase in incoming calls, she said.
