Zubie Launches In-Car Wi-Fi Powered by Verizon 4G LTE Network

Zubie, a leading connected-car platform and service provider for consumers and businesses, today launched its new in-car Wi-Fi solution powered by the Verizon 4G LTE network. The new Zubie product combines mobile hotspot connectivity on America’s largest and most reliable 4G LTE network, with award-winning vehicle and driver diagnostics capabilities.

Zubie’s rich mobile and web apps and informative reports provide users with real-time information around driver safety, vehicle condition, maintenance issues, and fuel costs. Additionally through Zubie Perks, customers can redeem valuable savings for items like auto insurance, tires, and extended warranties.

With the addition of seamless in-car Wi-Fi connectivity, customers can now quickly, easily and cost-effectively connect to the Internet. This meets the needs of a broad range of customers — individuals to families to mobile professionals — who desire on-the-go, high-bandwidth Internet access.  The Zubie in-car Wi-Fi device, which simply plugs into a vehicle’s OBD-II port located under the dashboard, utilizes sophisticated components, including Sequans Communications’ LTE chipset for robust connectivity and processing. It accommodates multiple users and devices, enabling entertainment streaming, general web surfing, email, messaging, and more.
