Samsung was awarded the GSMA Global Mobile Award for its Mobile Security Management Suite last week at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Presented by the GSMA Association for innovation in the mobile market, the award was given for the “Best Mobile Security of Anti-Fraud Solution.” Samsung’s Mobile Security Management Suite uses Nexsign, a PKI-based biometric solution, and Enterprise Mobile Management to connect fingerprint, voice, or facial information to user information on mobile devices. EMM offers a variety of authentication methods and deployments, including user privileges that can be modified from an administrative account in order to manage company accounts.
“SDS was honored to receive this world-renowned award for its competence in mobile security that global companies are focusing on,” Won-Pyo Hong, president of Solution Business at Samsung SDS, said in a press release. “We hope to be a good example for many domestic and international businesses that are keen on promoting both security and user convenience.”
Samsung SDS EMM was the first offering to receive U.S. Common Criteria for both Android and iOS, according to the company.
