T-Mobile announced yesterday that it has appointed Torrie Dorrell to vice president of Connected and Family Products and Services for T-Mobile USA.
According to the carrier, Dorrell will lead a team responsible for developing products and services focused on family communication.
Dorrell was most recently with Sony Online Entertainment in San Diego where she served as senior vice president of global sales and marketing. There, she led Sony’s expansion into new genres and business models, including the development of Free Realms, a virtual world game for kids launched in 2009.
Prior to Sony, Dorrell held positions with NBC Universal’s Vivendi Universal Games; PolyGram Filmed Entertainment; and Warner Music Group and the Walt Disney Co., where she created and ran several family music labels.
