American Wireless to Sell Virgin Mobile Service, Handsets

By Staff Author | April 10, 2008

Virgin Mobile USA has teamed up with American Wireless. As part of the deal, American Wireless will offer Virgin Mobile’s no-contract wireless plans and handsets to its nationwide network of dealers. Initially, four Virgin Mobile USA handsets will be available through American Wireless: the Kyocera Marbl, the Flare by LG, the Kyocera Cyclops and the Kyocera Wild Card.

“At American Wireless, we strive to bring customers outstanding products and services, and Virgin Mobile USA’s customer satisfaction ratings speak for themselves,” said Bill Bourke, vice president of sales for American Wireless. “The prepaid wireless market has become very competitive and customer satisfaction is a key differentiator. We believe the addition of Virgin Mobile USA to our lineup of wireless prepaid products is a big win for our dealers and customers.”

Joel Silverman, vice president of Sales for Virgin Mobile USA, said in a statement: “As one of the largest wireless master agents in the United States, American Wireless is poised to bring Virgin Mobile USA’s no-annual-contract services and products to an even larger customer base.”

American Wireless offers monthly plans, with no annual contract beginning at $24.99.
