U.S. wireless carrier AT&T and the Communications Workers of America (CWA) have come to a tentative agreement in their contract negotiations for mobility workers in the carrier’s Southwest region, AT&T said.
According to a Monday press release, the contract was reached just ahead of a Sunday evening deadline. The agreement, which will be submitted to the union’s membership for a vote in the coming days, covers more than 9,400 AT&T mobility employees in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas.
CWA District 6 confirmed on its Facebook page that an agreement had been reached. According to the CWA, the new contract would be for four years and would expire on Feb. 21, 2020.
Both parties said more details will be released once the agreement has been vetted by the union membership.
