AT&T and Shell today agreed to a five-year deal that will see the carrier migrate more than 150,000 Shell employees over to a new unified communication platform.
The platform will incorporate instant messaging, voice, web and video conferencing into one interface available across desktops, tablets and smartphones. Voice and file sharing will be agnostic across most major desktop and mobile operating systems.
The platform solution will cover Shell employees and contractors operating in more than 50 different countries.
AT&T is calling it the most comprehensive unified communication platform deployment it’s ever done for a single corporate client.
