AT&T wants to see if there’s demand for college football on the go.
According to Reuters, AT&T has partnered to bring live college football games to tablets in the backsets of connected Uber cars.
The initiative is a test and includes 10 Chevrolet Tahoe cars, which are already connected with AT&T wireless. The cars will work Saturdays in Detroit, Nashville, Houston, and Atlanta in October.
The cars will be outfitted with four tablets in the back of the headrests, as well as wireless headsets and phone chargers.
Uber riders can hail the AT&T connected cars for no extra charge by clicking on a custom tab in the Uber’s app.
Reuters reports that AT&T has also arranged for a few college and pro football stars to make surprise appearances in the cars.
