First News Briefs: Huawei, AT&T, Good Technology, Ruckus Wireless

Huawei recently launched its proprietary next generation intelligent retail solution in Europe during the Symphony EYC Event 2013 in Frankfurt, Germany. The intelligent retail solution is developed to help retailers enhance service offerings and improve customer shopping experience, featuring the integration of wireless technology, mobile device applications and location-based service.

AT&T Government Solutions, a division of AT&T, Inc. (NYSE: T) today announced the appointment of former U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Chief Information Officer Chris Smith as Vice President, Technology.  Smith comes to AT&T Government Solutions from Accenture Federal Services.

Good Technology today announced it has successfully resolved its patent litigation against Little Red Wagon Technologies (“LRW Technologies”), a provider of mobile and wireless applications. Under the terms of the settlement, LRW Technologies agreed to make a cash payment and has taken a royalty-bearing license to Good’s patents involved in the litigation. The remaining terms of the settlement are confidential.

Ruckus Wireless, Inc. today announced that it was exonerated on October 31, 2013 by a jury that ruled in favor of Ruckus Wireless, determining that Ruckus did not infringe on two patents, as alleged by Netgear.
