First News Briefs: Verizon, IceWarp, iControl Networks, EcoFactor, Novatel

By Wireless Week staff | September 25, 2013

Verizon today introduced the 4G LTE Broadband Router with Voice, a broadband router that combines voice and data connectivity over Verizon’s reliable networks in one package. The new router arrives with three monthly plans to choose from: Voice-only ($20), Data-only ($20), or Voice and Data ($30), when added to a Share Everything Plan.

Global messaging solutions provider IceWarp has announced the next version of IceWarp Email Server will fully support the new Apple iOS 7 Notes synchronization feature. This will allow Notes to be automatically synchronized between iOS 7, Microsoft Outlook, and IceWarp.

iControl Networks, a provider of connected home technology, and EcoFactor, a provider of cloud-based home energy services, are partnering to deliver a smart energy service that integrates energy devices and appliances with data analytics about HVAC energy usage on iControl’s open, device-agnostic platform. EcoFactor will be joining the iControl OpenHome Partner Program to offer a big data and predictive analytics service layer that allows service providers to deliver energy control and savings to their consumers.

Novatel Wireless, Inc., a provider of wireless solutions, today introduces MiFi Home, an all-in-one solution that replaces wired voice and Internet options for phone and 4G LTE Internet connectivity in the home, small office, and remote work station.
