AT&T announces Alcatel-Lucent S.A. and Fujitsu Network Communications Inc. as the newest vendors to join its User-Defined Network Cloud program. These two suppliers, and the previously announced Juniper Networks, will work with AT&T to build the User-Defined Network Cloud.

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. today announced the launch of new products for its Iris smart home solution. The four new Iris-compatible products can be monitored and controlled from a computer, smart phone or tablet and are available in Lowe’s stores, nationwide: Z-Wave Garage Door Opener Remote Command Controller with Tilt Sensor; PetSafe Electronic SmartDoor; Iris Motorized Window Blinds Controller; and the Orbit Hose Faucet Water Timer. 

NetCracker Technology today announced Sprint has agreed to a multi-year agreement that will expand its use of NetCracker’s OSS solutions to support its Sprint Spark enhanced LTE rollout. Sprint has been utilizing NetCracker’s Resource Inventory, Order Management and Discovery & Reconciliation solutions to support its Spark deployment.

Level 3 Communications, Inc. today announced the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has selected the global telecommunications carrier to deliver a suite of local area network (LAN) managed services for the agency within the National Capital Region under the Washington Interagency Telecommunications System 3 contract.
