FirstNews Briefs: AT&T, Toshiba, Oticon, Radwin

AT&T today announced that it will launch Digital Life in Stockton, Calif. along with six other markets: Corpus Christi, Texas, Fayetteville, Ark., Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Youngstown, Ohio, Charleston, S.C., and Topeka, Kan. In addition to $0 upfront fees for Smart Security, Digital Life is now offering installment billing.

Toshiba Corporation’s Semiconductor & Storage Products Company today announced that it will start from today, sample shipments of 32-gigabyte and 64-gigabyte (GB) embedded NAND flash memory modules compliant with the JEDEC UFS Ver.2.0 standard. The modules also integrate 5.8Gbps High-speed MIPI® M-PHY[3] HS-G3 I/F, which is an optional feature of the UFS Ver. 2.0 standard.

Oticon, Inc., a manufacturer of hearing solutions, today announced the launch of the upgraded Streamer Pro that will enable people who use Oticon wireless hearing instruments to connect to iPhone via the Oticon ConnectLine App. The upgraded Streamer Pro and ConnectLine App work with all Oticon wireless hearing aids purchased since 2007.

RADWIN, a global provider of sub-6 GHz broadband wireless solutions, today announced that the RADWIN 2000 point-to-point solutions were chosen and deployed by the Semirara Mining Corporation – the largest coal mine in the Philippines. The Semirara coal mine is using RADWIN 2000 systems to create a private network to provide voice and data services to offices scattered across the mine site.
