AT&T’s prepaid Aio brand has launched new plans that promise more discounts with each line of service added.
Similar to the incentive behind Sprint’s “Framily” plans, Aio’s new “Group Save” plans offers discounted monthly charges beginning with the second eligible line added.
Customers can create their own Group Save accounts by combining wireless lines within the same family or grouping of friends who want to save collectively on their wireless plans. Aio promises savings up to $90 per month when an account hit five lines.
Group Save discounts are available on Aio’s $40 and higher plans and customers may combine any mix of qualifying plans on the account. Discounts will increase incrementally with each eligible line on the account beginning with the second eligible line.
Aio launched in May 2013 and is available through dealer-owned stores in 27 markets in Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Texas, and Washington. Aio is also available to all U.S. customers online at www.aiowireless.com.
Sprint’s Framily plans are based on a similar model. They start at $55 for unlimited talk, text and 1GB of data. From there, the plans decrease as more individuals are added to the plan, eventually dropping to $25 per month when a single plan hits 7 devices.
