ShoZu is offering Adobe Photoshop.com members the chance to use its mobile social media service to upload photos from more than 350 different handsets to Photoshop.com accounts.
ShoZu said its service allows Adobe Photoshop.com users to take advantage of support for additional handsets that include the Apple iPhone, Apple iPod touch, Motorola RAZR2, Nokia 5310, Nokia 6301 and the Research In Motion (RIM) BlackBerry Pearl.
The big challenge of taking photos with the mobile phone is transferring them to the Web, ShoZu CEO Mark Bole said via a press release. ShoZu has simplified the process for more than 50 destinations, and Photoshop.com is an important addition, he said.
With the ShoZu application downloaded to the handset free of charge, Photoshop.com users can transfer full-resolution photos with accompanying titles and descriptions from the phone to their Photoshop.com account with a few clicks, the company said. There is no need to open a mobile browser; interrupt phone calls, text messaging or camera use while images are transferring; or to start over if a connection is dropped.
ShoZu users also can simultaneously upload any given image to a number of Web destinations, ranging from Photoshop.com, Facebook, Google Blogger and WordPress to multiple e-mail addresses, without leaving the ShoZu application. That eliminates the need for multiple uploads and multiple data charges from a wireless provider where applicable.
