Sprint yesterday sent out invitations to a press event scheduled for Feb. 7 in New York City, inviting guests to “See What Sprint has up its Sleeve.”

The event is invitation-only and will feature appearances by Sprint CEO Dan Hesse and illusionist David Blaine.

Details on what will be announced were not given. According to the invite, Sprint will show attendees that the “impossible is possible” and promises to deliver on an “industry first.”

Sprint was the first carrier in the United States to launch WiMAX service when it launched in Baltimore in September 2008.
