T-Mobile’s new no-contract pricing plans are now live on the company’s website with plans starting at $50 for unlimited talk and text plus 500 MB of data. The plans add on $10 for each additional 2 GB and include mobile hotspot.

The plans don’t include overage charges for surpassing the allotted 500 MB, instead opting to throttle back customers to 2G speeds once the limit is passed.

The pricing information on T-Mobile’s device portfolio has been changed to reflect the unsubsidized plans. For instance, a 16 GB Samsung Galaxy S 3 is now priced at $69.99 up front plus $20 per month for 24 months or $549.99.

T-Mobile has a press event planned for tomorrow, which the company has teased with the tagline, “We’re still a wireless company. We’re just not going to act like one anymore.”

The new plans come as reports of T-Mobile switching on LTE in some cities surfaced last week. OpenSignal reported downlink speeds of 25 mbps in Seattle, Denver, Las Vegas, New Orleans, New York, San Diego, Kansas City and San Francisco.

As T-Mobile moves forward with its plans to become the “un-carrier,” it’s also getting closer to finalizing its merger with MetroPCS. The deal, which is scheduled for a stockholder vote April 12, has received all necessary regulatory approvals.
