T-Mobile’s prepaid brand GoSmart Mobile Monday announced that it will offer customers free access to Facebook.
The announcement makes GoSmart the first wireless provider in the United States to offer free access to Facebook and Facebook Messenger for its wireless customers, even those without monthly data service.
Beginning in January, GoSmart customers can log-on from a browser or the Facebook application on any compatible phone.
GoSmart currently offers 4 plan options, including $25 per month for unlimited talk, $30 for unlimited talk and text, $35 for unlimited talk, text and Web, and $45 for unlimited talk, text and 5GB of 3G data.
The news comes as T-Mobile’s postpaid division prepares for an event at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, where the company will unveil its fourth uncarrier initiative, Uncarrier 4.0.
