Verizon Wireless today announced availability of the Motorola Droid Pro, an Android-based smartphone aimed at business users. The Droid Pro will sell for $179.99 with a two-year contract.
The Pro was announced at CTIA and features a BlackBerry-like form factor, with a full physical keyboard. Additionally, the phone comes running Android 2.2 and boasts a 3.1-inch touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, 1 GHz processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and expandable memory up to 32GB.
Verizon Wireless claims the Pro’s quad-band GSM functionality allows customers to use voice service in more than 220 countries and data coverage in more than 200 countries, with more than 120 with 3G speeds.
The Droid Pro also comes preloaded with QuickOffice Mobile Suite and supports both Exchange and Gmail for business.
